Mathematical & Statistical Modeling
Models built for your problem, not borrowed from someone else’s.
ABOUT THE SERVICE
Some problems don’t fit off-the-shelf tools. Forecasting under uncertainty, putting numbers on risk, allocating limited resources or designing a sound experiment all call for a model built around your particular circumstances. A generic template can look convincing while quietly answering the wrong question.
We develop, test, and document mathematical and statistical models tailored to your problem. That might mean simulating a range of possible outcomes, finding the most efficient way to schedule or allocate resources, or designing a study so its results can be trusted. Whatever the challenge, the model is built to serve your decision.
Just as important, we make sure you understand it. A model is only useful if the people relying on it know what it does, what it assumes, and where it stops being reliable. We explain all three in plain language.
MORE ABOUT THE SERVICE
Before we build anything, we agree on the assumptions with you, because every model rests on them. Once the model is built, we test how it behaves when those assumptions turn out to be wrong. That is where many models quietly fail, and it’s where careful testing pays off.
You receive a fully documented model, a plain-language guide to using and interpreting it, and a hand-over session with your team so you’re not dependent on us to keep it running. We also offer independent statistical advice, including sampling design, experimental design and validation of existing work, which is particularly useful for organisations without a statistician on staff.
We support private-sector businesses and government agencies across Australia and New Zealand, all delivered remotely. If you’re not sure what kind of model your problem needs, that’s a perfectly good place to start. Describe the situation, and we’ll recommend an approach.

FAQ
That’s what the first conversation is for. Describe the problem and we’ll recommend an approach.
Yes. We can validate the logic, assumptions, and results.
